The Jazzmania big band contains some of the best young jazz talent
in The Netherlands.
Throughout the years the big band has been very active in the Dutch and European
music scene taking part in national and international big band festivals both
home and abroad. During its eighteen year existence the band has won a total
of twenty eight prizes in national and international competitions, including
five second prizes and sixteen firsts! As well as the excellent soloists
in the band this new cd from Jazzmania also contains a performance by Ben
van Gelder an astonishing fourteen year old alto sax talent plus
a special guest appearance from one of the great legends of jazzBenny
Bailey on trumpet!
